To get a motorcycle to run properly in the closed loop area, the area where the lambda sensor is active, it is necessary to disconnect the lambda sensor when the bike is to be trimmed, or to have it included as an active player. Otherwise, the lambda sensor will constantly ask the engine management to provide less fuel. The O2 optimizer here can be used as a stand alone unit that changes the value that the lambda sensor sends to the ECU. The value is changed from an AFR value of 14.7:1 to somewhere between 13.8 and 14.0:1. It doesn't sound like much, but it is enough to make many motorcycles run noticeably better, without putting them on the road. The O2 optimizer can also be used in conjunction with a Powercommander. Check under vehicle fitment to make sure you get the correct one.
