With separate oil circuits for hi/low speed compression and rebound damping, you are guaranteed optimal conditions with adjustments that do not affect each other. A DLC coated piston pliers also increases durability and reduces friction. The Bitubo XXZ shock also has a new, larger and improved nitro chamber that increases cooling during heavy use. XXZ comes with pneumatically adjustable spring preload, which makes it easy to set your preload when you have, for example, changed gears so that the wheelbase changes. The advantage of pneumatics (air) is that the weight is reduced considerably. The shock is made in Italy and you don't have to look at it very long to see that this is some serious stuff.
