Motion Pro vice for servicing front forks and rear shocks

Suspension is a delicate affair where systems and cleanliness are a virtue. The slightest dirt in a shock absorber or a front fork can compromise the damping. So can scratches and marks. Therefore, it is extremely important not to use a regular vise, with regular jaws. These can of course also pinch tubes together, so you get an unintentional friction/counter-tooth in your suspension components. That's why Motion Pro has developed this ingenious vise that works by having a locking point every 45 degrees and a gentle but firm grip on everything from fork legs to rear shocks and cartridges. This way you have the opportunity to wind the damping unit correctly while bleeding, shimming or doing something completely different. The platform is of course very robust and can be screwed into your filing bench. An oil spill tray and strainer are included. HOW IT WORKS ON FORKS

• Soft Jaw Fork Peg holds fork slider up for removal of dust seal and seal retaining clip
• Repositionable bottom slide bar holds forks compressed while bleeding air (priming cartridge) during reassembly and is an excellent platform for adding, adjusting and taking fork oil level measurements
• Can be used to assist in removing compression valve assembly (use of stock front axle required)

HOW IT WORKS ON SHOCKS

• Holds shock firmly around shock body, shaft or shock reservoir
• Facilitates removal of piston rod and seal head
• Facilitates removal of shock reservoir caps, chamber pistons or bladders
• Holds shock to remove spherical bearings or needle bearings
• Holds shocks for removal of shock spring
