Hyperpro steering damper - RSC - Progressive

Hyperpro's RSC steering damper is a groundbreaking innovation in steering dampers. Where other types of steering dampers are linear in the resistance they provide to stabilize a motorcycle, Hyperpro RSC is progressive. This means that your steering remains largely unaffected by the steering damper, and instead the steering damper becomes active during rapid movements / strokes in the handlebars. This is smart on motorcycles that are very easy to steer, but at the same time stable, and where the steering damper is solely a safety device.

No more tank slappers and wobblers

The Hyperpro RSC steering damper is adjustable in 22 clicks and during slow movements the resistance is largely unchanged regardless of the hardness you choose. On the other hand, the resistance increases radically with the clicks when the blows become fast and hard. Having a good steering damper can mean the difference between a trophy or the hospital. We have probably all seen the bad videos where a motorcycle goes completely into a self-swing on the way out of a corner or after a wheelie. It can end fatally and a steering damper greatly limits the risk of this.

Progressive steering damper - Not the best solution for everyone

Although a progressive steering damper is brilliant and a great solution for many motorcycles, there are things it is not very good at. Motorcycles that due to modifications, poor geometry or other things, feel unstable and tend to "sail" when you hit the white stripes. Motorcycles where it constantly feels like the front wheel tends to swing if you don't hold the handlebars tightly and motorcycles where you would like a better feeling of directional stability are good examples where a linear steering damper is better than a progressive one. If one of the above examples is synonymous with your problems, then choose a linear Hyperpro CSC steering damper instead.

Regular vs Reversed

This type of handlebar damper is reversed as in the picture, if the description for your mounting kit says that you need a Reversed handlebar damper, it is because the text on the handlebar damper will be upside down otherwise.
